In 1969, in Iași’s city center, the hotel with the biggest accommodation capacity from Moldova region was inaugurated. Today, after more than 47 years, Unirea Hotel & SPA succeeds in adapting to the fast expansion pace in online environment of hotels markets.
The objectives behind launching a new website for Unirea was to create a new image for the brand and to increase the number of online bookings. Launched in February 2016, the website was developed on our own content platform. For the booking module, we implemented the search option and we customized the module according to the new visual identity.
An important request in the project was for the website to rank high in search terms such as - hotel iasi - or - accomodation iasi . Thus, the newly launched project was promoted on Google through SEO and Google AdWords campaigns. Results in SEO were obtained in 3 months time, with over 10 search terms ranking on first page on Google.
Facebook was the next channel used for promotion. Being cost efficient, Facebook is ideally for reaching different audiences in a very short time. Although not essential in the marketing mix for stimulating room reservations for the hotel, the social media adds up to improve the brands image and communicates about all the special events that can be hosted by the hotel.
